Herbal Remedies

There is little doubt that herbs for fibroids can be used very successfully as an integral part of an overall treatment strategy for shrinking fibroids. However, if you have the impression that herbal remedies for fibroids are all you need to guarantee success then you may be disappointed.

What has caused fibroids in a particular individual is often difficult to accurately determine. There are common factors which are often present in most cases, such as raised estrogen levels, but other factors can be very subtle and it is often thought that fibroids are causes by the interaction of these smaller factors, coupled with the estrogen, which cause fibroid growth. Estrogen alone is unlikely to cause fibroids-if it was, everyone with raised levels would have fibroids and this is not the case.

To shrink fibroids naturally, it is necessary to use a multifaceted approach which takes into consideration all the known causes of fibroids and eliminates them. This means that there is no “one thing” which you must do, but rather that you will have to be prepared to make various lifestyle and dietary changes alongside taking herbal remedies for fibroids. This is therefore not a suitable approach for those who are not prepared to invest both time and effort in their own healing. However, for those who are prepared to go the extra mile, they are likely to be rewarded with a substantial reduction in their fibroids-but it will not happen overnight.

There are two main uses of herbal remedies for fibroids. Firstly, they can be very beneficial in giving symptomatic relief, such as reducing excessive menstrual bleeding and stomach bloating. The herbs for fibroids symptoms include Yam, Nettles, Willow, Ginger and Cinnamon. The other use is to help to detox the liver.

There is evidence to suggest that harmful estrogen-mimicking compounds can be “locked” in the liver and these are very difficult to remove. Herbs such as Milk Thistle, Dandelion Root and Artichoke Extract can be very useful in helping the detox process.

Until a couple of years ago, I suffered from very large fibroids and after considering a hysterectomy, I decided to try a natural treatment which had been developed by an alternative practitioner. I was able to shrink the largest of my fibroids to a size where the symptoms became insignificant. I used an approach which involved making a few significant changes in my diet and lifestyle.

I also used various herbs for fibroids, the effects of which seemed to “kick-in” after I had been taking them for a couple of months. If you would like to see details of the natural treatments which I followed, then please visit Herbal Remedies For Fibroids
